Introduction
Welcome to the blogsite, chosen people!
I believe it is not a coincidence nor an accident that you are here. God chose you to be here and His Spirit led you here. I am glad that you are here, thank you for accepting the calling.
Let me introduce you to the creation of this blogsite and what led me to this. It has been a year when I fully accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My water baptism was on February 05, 2023, thus, I chose February 05 as the launching date of this blogsite to celebrate my spiritual birthday, to share my life after being born again in water and in Spirit, and to go back in my passion for writing, but this time, for Him.
I had a personal blogsite called, "Yours Truly, Clar," but the posts there are mostly about my personal life. I want to create a new blogsite dedicated solely to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I wouldn't have the capability and the potential in writing if it wasn't because of Him. If there is someone I should dedicate my writing with, it is Him.
I named the blogsite, "Chosen, not forsaken," for a specific reason: When we sin, we can run to Him, not run from Him.
Oftentimes, most Christians hide from God when they sin, afraid that they will be condemned. Also, because of shame. It reminds me of the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3, when Eve ate the forbidden fruit that God told them not to eat. After doing so, they hid from God, when they realized they were naked. It's in the human nature to hide from God when we sin, instead of coming to Him for repentance.
Despite that, God knew they were hiding and He called them out. God didn't want us to be in hiding, ashamed, and afraid because He has so much compassion in us. Right there and then, God can choose to make the humans go perish, but He didn't. He let them live. Although, every sin has a consequence and the consequence of eating the forbidden fruit is death, that was not the consequence that Adam and Eve received.
God chose to let them live.
And, when they realized they were naked, God even clothed them (see Genesis 3:21).
Like Adam and Eve, we hide from God when we sin. Out of shame. Out of fear. But, here in Genesis 3, it reminds us that there is no need of hiding. God knows what we did. Despite our wrong choices in life, He is willing to rescue us from poor decisions. Despite our stubbornness as humans, He still chose to give us chances, grace, and mercy. Despite disobeying Him, He still made a way for us on how to get right with Him -- through His Son, Jesus Christ (see Romans 3:23-24).
Despite all that, He still chose to save us.
Friends, we are called by our Creator, to rescue and save us from sins, shame, and fear. Not to condemn nor forsake us. Whatever it is you are hiding from God for, you can show yourself to Him, He is calling you out. Don't be afraid or be ashamed. The same God who clothed Adam and Eve is the same God who will clothe you with His mercy and grace. All you have to do... is show up and surrender by repentance.
It is my prayer that God will use this blogsite to remind us that we are all chosen, and not forsaken. That despite what we did, there is no sin too unforgivable for Him. Despite what our past looks like, there is no life He cannot transform, and character He cannot change. Despite who we were and who we are, He still chose us.
I was once broken, lost, and wretched. And now that I am found and saved, it is my desire to help you find the narrow gate that led me to where I am. (The gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it. - Matthew 7:13-14).
Be part of that few people. Join me as we find and enter that narrow gate.
